Offices of National Registration Department and Immigration Department in Melaka Are Shifted
April 2nd, 2006
Effective from 3 Apr 2006 (Monday), offices of the following departments in Melaka will be shifted from Wisma Persekutuan located at Jalan Hang Tuah, to Kompleks Kementerian Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri located near to Seri Negeri Melaka Ayer Keroh.
- Malaysia Immigration Department (Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia)
- National Registration Department (Jabatan Pendaftaran Malaysia)
- Registrar of Society (Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia)
If you are in doubt of the location of Seri Negeri Melaka, you may refer to the Ayer Keroh map.
Thus, if you are applying or renewing your passport and identification card, please take note of the new location. Don’t waste a trip.

How to get to the new imigration office situated near the Kompleks Seri Negeri Ayer Keroh by bus.
What are the buses nos.?

Sorry but I have no idea on the exact bus traveling to Kompleks Seri Negeri.
However, as far as I’m concerned, the Town Bus No. 19 is transitting to Ayer Keroh, not sure if this bus offers a stop at Kompleks Kementerian Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri or Kompleks Seri Negeri though.

By the way, does anybody know what is happening to the old block?! I heard that it would be a university, but have not been able to find info about this.

Me too heard that the old Wisma Persekutuan building at Jalan Hang Tuah might be converted into an educational institution. But, no further updates till now
