Can you please inform me of the locations air asia is going to fly to from batu berendam.Secondly, do you think that any other airline will be flying to malacca.

I last wrote in Marh 2008 re the new airport construction . Can any good soul enlighten me as to how far things have gone and when will completion be? It is exciting to know our dear Malacca at last is included as a World Heritage City . With this she should expect more domestic and international travellers to drop by. To complement this status it is only pertinent to have dependable flights flying into and out of the city. Let us hope that the new B.Berendam will not let us Malaccans down. I still cling tenaciously to the slogan:” MALACCA BOLEH”!

Hi, just want to know whether AirAsia will fly to Kuching after upgrading? It is too troublesome have to take the coach to JB-Senai Airport or KL-LCC to take the flight to Kuching. The total journey is abt 4 to 5hrs incl waiting time in airport.

the project consultant was KLIA consultancy and services bhd. the main contractor is Uni integrated sdn bhd.

Had been away from Malacca for nearly forty year. However, I “balek kampong” quite often. Each time I get to Malacca I bemoan the fact that one can only get back by road. She is supposed to be a developed state by 2010, yet there is no proper air, sea or rail transport to this once flourishing city.
The news that there will be a new airport being developed will definitely give die hard patriotic Malaccans like me a sense of pride as well as convenience that at last some sort of improvement is on its way. In this time and age of fast travel Malaccans should be able to have various choices of getting around. Let our dear Batu Berendam be the leader and who knows a better harbour and rail links will follow later maybe! I am sure “MALACCA BOLEH!”
