I last left Malacca 23 years ago and would certainly like to re-visit this new Laksa house and try all the Nyonya Kuih-Muih. Good to know the tradition is still going….keep it up.

Just came back from Melaka. I think Donald & Lilly’s quality is down a bit from the last time I went. But that was more than 5 years ago. I definitely thought the cendol was great last time round but this time we were disappointed.

Good quality foods come with a price. So don’t expect same qaulity of foods when things are getting more expensive and yet they have to serve with the same old price. But then again I don’t mind paying more if it satisfied my taste. ;p~~~

Hi!

I’ll be visiting Melaka soon and would like to try a few Nyonya restaurants. Besides Donald & Lily, any other recommendation? Some people told me to try Auntie Lee, Nyonya Makko Restaurant, Cottage Spices etc. Could you kindly advise based on your taste and experience?

Welcome to Melaka Coconut House (famous for pizza) is also located within walking distance. Besides, at Jonker Street, there’s also a shop called Jonker 88 (opposite Geographer Cafe), which is famous for cendol.

I’m on my way!! Does the laksa start being served at 9.30am?
Any other recommendations? I know the pork satay also near there. And the chicken rice ball. What else within walking distance?

Everyone has different taste. Unlike your review above, I especially love their cendol because it’s not as sweet as other stalls.
